Mr. Rutkowski has been practicing law for the past fifteen years. Prior to law school, Mr. Rutkowski spent twelve years as a deputy sheriff. Mr. Rutkowski was assigned to the patrol division where he spent two years as a member of the DUI squad. As a deputy sheriff Mr. Rutkowski received training in criminal law, domestic violence and family matters.
As a deputy sheriff Mr. Rutkowski made several hundred arrests testified on behalf of the State on many occasions. Mr. Rutkowski’s experience is enhanced by his work as a prosecutor.
As a deputy sheriff Mr. Rutkowski was a Field Training Officer, Corporal, and Detective before leaving law enforcement to pursue a career as an attorney. After graduating law school Mr. Rutkowski prosecuted Traffic, Misdemeanors and felonies for two years before entering his private practice in criminal defense and family law.
Mr. Rutkowski is a member of the Georgia and Florida Bars, admitted to practice in all State and Appellant Courts. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court, Middle District of Georgia and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Along with his careers in law enforcement and law, Mr. Rutkowski spent fifteen years in the United States Army Reserve as an Infantry Officer.
